Our Approach
Values & Ethos
Canine Curriculum is built on an educational approach. I have 12 years of teaching experience and use this to ensure that owners feel informed and empowered in their training journey.
My personal dog training journey began in 2022 when we re-homed our Hungarian vizsla, Henry, and were thrown into the midst of adolescence and needed to learn and upskill quickly! We have faced our ups and downs and along the way and we keep working and problem solving, looking to find gaps and holes to plug, but this means I get it! I get what it is like to be in the midst of behaviour and want to learn and do better.
Since starting this amazing journey I’ve embraced all opportunities to learn and have completed mentorships and additional education at every possible chance to create my own style of balanced training.
My top priority is building a relationship of trust and clarity between you and your dog before we even begin thinking about building anything else. Relationship and a desire to work and play together are the foundations of all we do and everything else builds from there. I utilise food drive and play, consider the breed and how to genetically fulfill each dog and educate and empower both dog and handler in a bespoke way.
I want all owners to walk away from each session with me feeling empowered. Learning and progress isn’t linear and it’s my job to remind you that setbacks happen and that is part of the process and to support and guide you through it so you can embed and continue your training outside of lessons.
